Are You Breathing Correctly?

 

Breathing is a gift that is given to all of us when we are birthed and when we are born.  These days breathing is taken for granted.  Many people lead busy lives and although they take breaths they are not breathing.  They do not take a moment to relax and breathe.  It is funny how the mind can work when busyness takes precedence over self-care.  The very thing that keeps us alive takes a backseat because the task at hand becomes more important.  I remember sitting in a holistic health and wellness class and the person teaching was talking about breathing.  That was the first time in all my 25 years at the time that I took that deep of a breath.

Discovering this breath was similar to when I discovered that there was more than one type of water haha.  Sometimes we have a tendency to think that everything is the same and what difference does is make?  It makes a huge difference in the quality of life.  It makes a huge difference...

Can Exercise Reduce Your Stress Levels?

Have you have ever heard that exercise is a drug or an anti-depressant?  Well there is no exaggeration there.  Exercise releases certain chemical responses in the body that people who are addicted to drugs crave.  Exercise is a much healthier alternative to substance abuse and dealing with stress.

It is something everyone should be doing on a daily basis.  It gets you moving and not living a sedentary lifestyle.  Exercise is crucial to the health of the lymphatic system.  Your lymphatic system is closely related to your immune system.  When you are moving and not allowing yourself to be sedentary you are giving your body a chance to flush out any toxins.

When toxic waste sits in the body it creates an inflammatory response, which can raise stress levels.  An inflammatory response can also be linked to imbalance in the body.  If you are healthy, the body can eliminate the toxins.

Is It That You Can't Afford Health Coaching? OR Is Health Not A Priority?

When I hear "I can't afford holistic health coaching" I actually cringe...

Here's why: As a holistic health coach I know how important it is to not only eat healthy, but live a healthy lifestyle. If both those areas are lacking in any way I know DISEASE, DEATH, and/or extremely poor quality of life is inevitable

 

SO

 

When I hear "I can't afford holistic health coaching" immediately I hear "I am not going to put myself first" AND "My health has to take a backseat". Let me tell you I have been there where I put my health on the back burner. Back when I was traveling and doing various speaking engagements I did not pay attention to my health as much. I knew my body needed rest. I knew my body wanted to eat certain foods, but I kept going against it, until ONE day it started to gradually shut down. My liver was damaged, my kidneys were not able to flush anything out, and because my body could not process protein, I started to smell like bleach.
